Team Sween - Raising Money for Cystic Fibrosis

T-shirt design for a team of people raising money to fight Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that: - clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; and - obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food. In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, advances in research and medical treatments have further enhanced and extended life for children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond.

Team Sween
Raising Money for The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
T-Shirt Design
Team Sween is a group that helps raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The client had the concept of using the anchor and rope to depict the letters 'T' and 'S' (Team Sween initials). The HOPE banner is a reference to the Rhode Island flag, which bears the anchor and the word 'hope' and, of course, the hope that fundraising efforts help give to children with cystic fibrosis.

This design was created for use on a T-Shirt and large print instances while allowing the anchor and banner to be used for smaller applications. A rough design was presented to verify the concept, and as the client was thrilled with this, no other iterations were presented. All elements were illustrated by me.
